Valentine’s or any time of year
I first made these Pie Crust Pastries a couple years ago and they are an easy way to make something that feels special, and is a crowd pleaser, a hit with the kids and adults. It’s also really easy to make it Gluten Free with the Sweet Loren’s Gluten Free pastry crust found in most grocery store refrigerated sections.
The process
To get these Pie Crust Pastries going, you start by throwing some flour on the counter, and rolling out the dough.

Grab your cookie cutter or knife and cut your shapes. These pie crust pastries can be any shape you desire. I do recommend simple shapes to save your sanity though. You are going to want parchment paper on your cookie sheet for this.

Cut the pie crust pastries, re-roll the dough and cut the rest, use both crusts. Then you want to take melted butter and coat the edges, dollop the fillings, and put the top shape on top.

After you put the tops on, brush with egg wash, and crimp the edges with a fork. Then bake according to package instructions for your pie crust. Keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t overbake.

The finished product
When they come out, let them cool, while you make the glaze. The glaze is just powdered sugar and water to the consistency you want. Add sprinkles, let them dry and enjoy!

Put them on a platter and serve your family something yummy and easy that feels special!

Happy Baking!
